2014 ACM SIGMETRICS Test of Time Award    (up to IBM Research Computer Science Blog)

Congratulations to Perry Cheng (IBM Research) and his co-authors, Steve Blackburn and Kathryn McKinley, who have been recognized with the 2014 ACM SIGMETRICS Test of Time Award for their 2004 SIGMETRICS paper entitled  “Myths and Realities: The Performance Impact of Garbage Collection”.    The award will be given out this week at SIGMETRICS 2014 in Austin Texas. The SIGMETRICS Test of Time Award recognizes an influential SIGMETRICS paper from 10-12 years ago.
