Health Care Analytics and Services Research - overview

The current delivery of health care is highly inefficient and causes a huge social and economic burden to society. Health care providers and patients are less and less able to predict outcomes and organize the care of complex diseases. This is mainly due to facing large amounts of data and the inherent disconnection across main entities. We use advanced analytics technologies to improve workflows, operations and treatment options. These technologies include predictive modelling of workloads and utilization for hospitals and clinics, characterizations and transitions of patient cohorts for insurers (and recommend actions). Key decision makers can make more informed actions, balance utilization, reduce costs, and act preemptively. We enable stakeholders to realize the idea from “preventative care” rather than “sick care”.
