Workshop Information

The transformation to digital media for learning changes the education experience - from the way learning materials are prepared and disseminated, to understanding how students learn, where students learn, and the ability to glean analytics and deeper insights about student performance. The migration to digital is also driving radical changes to educational policy and management, in both developed and growth markets.

To explore the implications of this educational shift, IBM Research is sponsoring a workshop on Digital Learning at the Institute for Studies in Industrial Development in New Delhi, India, February 27 - 28, 2014. The workshop will bring together thought leaders in digital learning research, technology and business, and will cover all areas of digital learning technology, policy, and practice. Thus, topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Going Digital: Migration of print to digital textbooks
  • Student engagement in a digital world: How does the learning experience change?
  • Managing and maximizing Learning Content
  • Focus on the learner: Personalized Education
In principle, any topic related to digital learning that is of interest to academics, practitioners, or governments will be considered for this workshop.
