#selfiestation - overview
The #selfiestation is a kiosk for taking selfies, that includes cognitive recognition technology. They have been deployed at IBM locations around the world (Cambridge, Austin, Shanghai, the UK, São Paulo, etc) with more going up all the time. IBMers, customers, and other visitors have taken thousands of photos at these kiosks. Our analysis shows high adoption among residents of the locations (81.5%) as well as strong social photo-taking behavior (78.6% of users posed as part of groups, and those who did took almost four times as many photos). Recently, we’ve begun putting up #selfiestation kiosks at IBM conferences (ConnectED 2015 & InterConnect 2015), integrating with IBM Event Connect, a Connections solution targeted at conferences and events.
