User Experience - overview

In 1961 IBM released a machine with a legendary haptic feel and beautiful look designed by architect Elliot Noyes. The Selectric was also the first typewriter to easily enable a variety of beautiful fonts. Since the days of the Selectric, we have designed methodologies that help us in the design iteration process, defined the basic ideas behind software for voice messaging, created the first display as good as our retinas, and scientifically assessed the productivity of programmers in relation to their work with programming languages. Our work has had an impact on the ways computers nteract with humans, from undestanding voice to putting computers on people's wrists.
