Filtered Multitone Modulation - overview
Networking and Web Accomplishment | 2002

Where the work was done: IBM Zurich Research Lab
What we accomplished: Filtered Multitone Modulation (FMT) enables significantly lower spectral overlapping between adjacent subchannels than previous techniques such as discrete multitone (DMT) or discrete wavelet multitone. FMT mitigates interference due to echo and near-end crosstalk signals, and increases the system throughput and reach.
