IBM Student Workshop for Frontiers of Cloud Computing 2013 - Attending
Information for Participants:

- IBM will provide a flat rate reimbursement to all invited students for travel, hotel or any other expenses depending on the distance:
- Tier 1: $400. Up to 300 miles by road
- Tier 2: $550. Between 300 and 600 miles
- Tier 3: $700. Over 600 miles as the crow flies
IBM will further pay for lunch during both days and one dinner on the first day.
- Note: each participating student should either: (1) get a copy of
the signed video release form to their host soon or (2) let their host
know that they do not want to be in the recording.
- Travel Directions to Holiday Inn Mount Kisco from NYC Airports:
- Getting there by Metro-North Railroad
You can take the Metro-North Railroad service from Grand Central Terminal to Mount Kisco. From Mount Kisco train station you can take a taxi for approx. 1.5 miles to the Holiday Inn Mount Kisco Hotel. The train to Mount Kisco costs $11.75 during off-peak hours and $15.50 during peak hours (up to 10am approx).
The Taxi to the hotel costs approx. $5.00.
To get to Grand Central or 125th-Harlem from New York city area airports, you can take a shuttle, taxi or public transit as follows:
i) From La Guardia
* Taxi: approx. $30.00

* Local Bus:
The M60 bus picks up passengers at La Guardia and can drop off at
125th-Harlem Metro-North Station. From there, you can take trains
coming from Grand Central Station to Mount Kisco. Bus fare is

* Train:
Take the AirTrain to Jamaica Station, where you will take the Long Island Railroad
train to Penn Station. Take the subway (lines 1, 2 or 3) to Times Square, where
can take the S line subway to Grand Central Station.

Take the New Jersey Transit train to Penn Station and follow the directions
from Penn Station to Grand Central Station listed under 'From JFK'. NJ Transit
