Sandhya Koteshwara           

Sandhya Koteshwara is a Research Staff Member at IBM Research T.J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, New York. Her research interests include hardware security, cryptographic hardware and system level security. She is currently working in the cloud infrastructure department towards bringing principles of hardware security and trust to the cloud. Her efforts include leading a project on platform firmware resiliency for cloud and development of security metrics for hardware and firmware security. She also works in areas of improving security in cloud through FPGA based hardware.

Dr. Koteshwara graduated from the University of Minnesota with a doctorate degree in 2018 and a Masters degree in 2014. She joined as a Post doctoral researcher at IBM in October 2018. During her first year at IBM, she worked on exposing and fixing vulnerabilities in novel hardware components for the IBM cloud resulting in significant contributions. She also worked on optimization of lattice-based post-quantum cryptographic algorithms for IBM Power processors.
