Yuya Ong is a Research Software Engineer at the IBM Almaden Research Center. His current research interests include the development of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning Methods for Computer Vision, Time Series Analysis, and Reinforcement Learning. In particular, he is interested in the development of new Deep Learning architectures for Multivariate Time Series Analytics.
His previous research experiences included the development of models for computational extraction and understanding of Human Affective States through body language and movement and the computational representation models for the Human Affective States within a latent embedding representation. Yuya has previously interned at the IBM Almaden Research Center twice, both during 2016 and 2018 as a Summer Research Intern. Furthermore, Yuya has experience with the management, development, and deployment of Machine Learning and Deep Learning systems into production with various companies and organizations.
Yuya received his B.S. Degree in Data Sciences from the College of Information Sciences and Technology from The Pennsylvania State University in 2019.
