Natasha is a Research Engineer at IBM Research Ireland in the Health and Person-Centered Systems research group.
She is working on systems to provide health and social care which puts the person at the centre of the experience. Such personalized systems will provide improved management of patient care. Her goal is to provide more efficient analysis of unstructured healthcare data leading to better-informed decisions for patients.
Natasha's research interests are in the area of artificial intelligence, in particular, the application of neural networks and their potential in the analysis of unstructured data. In particular, Natasha is interested in the application of shallow network models such as word2vec which efficiently embed text data within a vector space. An advantage of these models is that they appear to preserve syntactic and semantic relationships when mapped to vector space.
