Dr. Michele Dolfi joined the IBM Research - Zurich Laboratory in February of 2017 as a post-doctoral research fellow in the Foundations of Cognitive Solutions group.
He earned his PhD in Theoretical Physics, his M.Sc. and B.Sc. degree in Physics at ETH Zurich in 2016, 2011 and 2009, respectively.
Michele's expertise spans from quantum systems to cloud computing and high performance computing. During his studies he contributed a massive parallel open source application for strongly correlated quantum systems.
In his leisure time, Michele enjoys volunteering works for various sport and education associations. Since 2016 he is president of the Swiss Science Olympiads, where he leads a large number of volunteers as well as a team of professionists to promote and develop talents in scientific disciplinces.
